Our specialists commissioned an Odden lumber sorting line at one of the sawmills in the Vologda region.
A unique feature of this line is its two trimmers, allowing the operator to trim boards from both sides to the specified length. The software uses a servo stop to select the optimal board length.
The following tasks were completed:
- equipment design and software development for the programmable logic controller (PLC) and personal computer (PC),
- line control software development (including interface and settings),
- electrical and automation cabinets, control panels assembly,
- a modern S7-1500 controller and new operator computers with up-to-date software installation,
- Vector-LMS cross-section measuring system installation,
- installation of a servo stop before the trimmer to achieve optimal board lengths,
- electrical installation and commissioning,
- personnel training and operating instructions development.
