AVTOMATIKA-VEKTOR continues to work on import substitution of equipment in the sawmill industry. At the Novoeniseisk Wood Chemical Complex JSC (part of the Segezha Group forest industry holding) in Krasnoyarsk Krai we replaced scanners on the log sorting line and in the sawmill shop.
On the Springer log sorting we put a VECTOR-1D log measuring device for log butt/top orientation and preliminary rejection. VECTOR-3D was used for distribution into pockets. A special feature of the software developed for this line was the ability to edit the log queue. For any log before it enters the VECTOR-3D measuring device, you can change the species and grade, as well as delete or add a log to any place in the queue.
On the EWD sawmill line the VECTOR-3D was mounted additionally to the German scanner. The scanner is used to build a log model and transfer it to the sawmill line program, which orients the log by curvature and selects the optimal cut. To switch between scanners, it is enough to connect the network cable to our computer.
