In summer 2021, the largest full timber processing complex in the Far East, New Forest Pro, installed a VECTOR-3D scanneron a log sorting line with 56 pockets manufactured by HOLTEC GmbH&Co.
Main sorting parameters:
sorting of species: spruce, larch, fir, pine with 1 cm step in the range of top diameters from 100 mm, butt diameters - up to 600 mm, length - 3.8-6 m;
sorting of rough logs (automatic correction for bark);
analysis of logs by curvature: curved are kicked off to a smaller sawlog diameter;
kicking off the logs of unacceptably large curvature, as well as forked logs/logs with knarls to a separate pocket (firewood);
saving the possibility of rejecting logs by the operator (rotten - into firewood) using the quality buttons of the Holtec line panel;
acceptance of timber in batches, by machines, indicating the column - supplier, car number, driver, etc.;
issuance of a protocol for a batch, indicating statistics (pieces, volume) for sawlogs and firewood/balance;
issuance of the protocol for pockets (at the end of the shift);
archiving sorting protocols with the ability to sort and search by supplier, car number, driver's full name;
issuance of sorting statistics for the month/year/period - average diameter, total number and volume, etc.
