Automatic system for the lumber quality assessment
detects geometric defects (wane, damages, twists, etc.) and visible defects (rot, blue stain, knots, etc.) of lumber, and also measures the geometric parameters of the board and its wane;
sorts boards based on the received data;
optimizes the trimming of boards to obtain the maximum price, taking into account the lumber cost, grade and the location of defects.
